Translational Medicine Institute
Dr. C. Wayne McIlwraith and his colleagues pioneered translational medicine to help athlete injuries with research translated from horse injuries. Today, they are leading the way in discovering and implementing the body’s therapeutics to improve the lives of animals and their humans. They needed an identity representing Wayne and his research roots with a new building on the horizon. A helix flipped horizontally refers to both Dr. McIlwraith’s last initial of “M” and his translational research through biological medicines with a two-color treatment in the mark.

This identity needed to work in a variety of applications while also referencing the University. A simple and playful acronym of “TMI” was utilized in the smallest areas.
Partnering with the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biological Sciences communications team, we rolled out the identity across the building.
